Over the last week I have learned of several instances where signs have been vandalized. John Fillmore, Wil Cardon, Jeff Flake, Paul Gosar, Ron Gould and even my own signs have been vandalized. Whether you are an opponent or a constituent, destroying someone else's property is not how you let your voice be heard. As Wil Cardon had stated a few days ago, "it's one thing to fight hard to win this campaign, but it's even more important to fight fair."
I would like to take this moment to ask all of you to please report any suspicious activity that you may see. If you see a sign that has been vandalized or appears damaged, contact the Candidate and let them know so that they can fix the issue. If you see someone vandalizing a sign, take a photo and call PCSO to report it and contact the Candidate to give them the photo.
Whether we agree with each other or have opposing views, we still need to respect the process. If you have a candidate that you'd like to see take office, then be sure to get out and vote in both the August 28th primary and then again in the General Election in November. Your voice will be heard when you place your vote not when you destroy a candidate's sign. I hope that I won't have to see or hear of another campaign sign being intentionally damaged.
Thank you.
