Since its founding in 2004 as an offshoot of City of Grace Church in Mesa, LifePoint had held services across the street at the Copper Basin School. This was fine when the church originally started with 30 people, but with numbers now topping 700, LifePoint knew a new home was necessary. Through fundraising and the generosity of the congregation, the new facility will not only serve the spiritual needs of its members, but the community as a whole.
“This facility may be the home of LifePoint Church, but its purpose is to serve the community,” said LifePoint Lead Pastor, David Hinman. “We really want to make a difference in the lives of anyone living in San Tan Valley.
Besides weekly services at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. on Sundays, LifePoint hosts a Celebrate Recovery Program, Mother’s of Preschool Program (MOPS) and a ‘Heart For Others’ 5K and Family Fun Run on November 20th to raise funds for local charities. Their congregation is made up primarily of young families and encourages a non-denominational, ‘come as you are’ atmosphere for anyone seeking heart-felt worship and practical messages.
