Brown Bag Talk Series kicks off Aug. 21 Chinese Culture and Meet & Greet at Casa Grande Center

by: Guy Harrison

To kick off its fall series of Brown Bag Talks, Central Arizona College invites the public to a Chinese Culture and Meet & Greet on Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 12-1 p.m., at the institution’s Casa Grande Center.

Visiting professor Hao Lixia will lead the event. Hao comes straight from Northeastern University in Shenyang, China, where she is a member of the university’s English faculty.

During the talk, Hao will be sharing her experiences and observations, and will answer questions about Chinese culture. Attendees will get to know the professor and learn more about a few of her course offerings at CAC this fall, namely Chinese language as well as cooking and culture classes.

This is a free event and is open to the community.

The Casa Grande Center is located at 1015 E. Florence Boulevard in Casa Grande, with the event set for Room B101.

Attendees may bring their lunch to the event. Complimentary dessert and beverages will be served.
