Emily started playing baseball when she was 4 years old and enjoyed playing with her brother, Nick, who is now 14. At the age of 8, she transitioned over to softball and currently plays for the Queen Creek Heat. Although Emily's favorite position is catcher, she also plays pitcher, shortstop and third baseman.
Now that Emily has won the semi-finals, she is anxious to take home the win at the National Championship. Waiting to hear if her score is one of the highest three in the nation, she will then attend the All-star festivities and compete for the National Championship. Having started out as one of tens of thousands of girls to enter the Pitch, Hit and Run from across the country, she is now one of 30 girls left to battle for the National Championship.
