Sabercat Homecoming a GREAT Time for MVMS Wolverines!

The Mountain Vista Middle School Wolverines again had the opportunity to celebrate homecoming week, September 24-28, 2012.  The Wolverine Student Council planned spirit week activities all week:

  • Monday-Pajama Day
  • Tuesday-Twin Day
  • Wednesday-Half Day Hat Day
  • Thursday-Crazy Hair Day
  • Friday-Wolverine Spirit Day

In addition to the spirit days the students were treated to two assemblies and the Homecoming Parade.  Thursday (9/27), NotMYKid presented an assembly on bullying to the MVMS Wolverines.  Anthony, our speaker, told his story about being bullied all his life.  NotMYKid will be doing four school presentations this year for the students and will also do two parent presentations.  The first parent presentation is November 8, 2012 at Mountain Vista Middle School and the topic is bullying.  This presentation is open to the public.

The second assembly was sponsored by Student Council on Friday afternoon.  The Wolverine Baseball and Softball teams were recognized and Student Council organized the entertainment. Prior to the assembly, all students were taken up to the high school and participated in the parade.  Student Council, NJHS, and Cheerleading had floats in the parade.  During the half time show, the Wolverine cheer team participated in a dance program with the Mighty Mustangs and the High School Cheer Team.  A great time was had by all!
