J.O. Combs Student of the Month Recognition

J.O. Combs Student of the Month Recognition

The J.O. Combs Unified School District continues to partner with Banner Ironwood in their Student of the Month program which recognizes one student every month from each of our schools. There is a selection process in place where students get recognized for the various pillars of the Character Counts Program which include Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Caring, Respect and Fairness. This month, these students were recognized for demonstrating the character trait of Responsibility.  

The presentation takes place each month at our Regular Governing Board Meeting.  This month Sally Giannotti, Executive Assistant and Dr. Peter Innes – General Surgery from Banner Ironwood Hospital were in attendance to present each student with a Certificate of Special Recognition along with the J.O. Combs Governing Board and Superintendent Gayle Blanchard.  The following students were recognized:

  • Shelby Wilt, Grade 11, Combs High School
  • Christopher Miranda, Grade 8, J.O. Combs Middle School
  • Luke Hannum, Grade 1, Simonton Elementary
  • Sierra Waldrop, Grade 5, Harmon Elementary
  • Berlin Jaeger, Grade 2, Ellsworth Elementary
  • Isaac Esparza, Grade Pre-K, Ranch Elementary
  • Tanner Keime, Grade 1, Combs Traditional Academy
