Eagle Scout Project Brings the United States to San Tan Valley

An Eagle Scout Project, is an opportunity for a Boy Scout, Varsity Scout or qualified Venturer in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community.

Richard Bassett, a Combs High School Senior submitted his plan and as a result of his hardwork, Ranch Elementary's playground is a bit more "educational" than it once was.

Bassett set out to pain a map of the United States on the playground in Ranch Elementary and finished the project with flying colors.  The students now have an opportunity to plan games and have fun learning the states and capitals, while out on the playground.
