J.O. Combs Unified School District October Student of the Month Recognition

J.O. Combs Unified School District continues to partner with Banner Ironwood Medical Center in a Student of the Month program which recognizes one student every month from each of our schools.

There is a selection process in place where students are recognized for the various pillars of the Character Counts Program which include Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Caring, Respect and Fairness.

This presentation takes place each month at our Regular Governing Board Meeting where a representative from Banner Ironwood Hospital attends and assists in presenting each student with a Certificate of Special Recognition.

A photograph is taken with the representative(s) from Banner Ironwood Medical Center, the Governing Board, and Superintendent Gayle A. Blanchard.  For the month of October, the following students were recognized for demonstrating the character trait of Trustworthiness.

• JayCee Riggs 9th Grade Combs High School

• Cheyanne Collier 7th Grade J.O. Combs Middle School

• Kiera Kaechelein 1st Grade Simonton Elementary

• Vincent Bacerott 2nd Grade Harmon Elementary

• Sarah Pinkerton 2nd Grade Ellsworth Elementary

• Madison Durrant 5th Grade Ellsworth Elementary (from September)

• Simon Taunima 5th Grade Ranch Elementary

• Kenli Clare Kindergarten Combs Traditional Academy
