J.O. Combs is excited to offer students a wide variety of after school enrichment opportunities.  The partnership between Combs and various enrichment vendors means families do not have to look outside the community for recreational offerings.  All enrichment classes are held immediately after school as a convenience to parents.

The J.O. Combs Unified School District and Banner Ironwood Medical Center recently recognized K-12 students who exhibited excellence in trustworthiness. The J.O. Combs Governing Board, Superintendent Gayle A. Blanchard, and Banner Ironwood Medical Center’s interim chief executive officer, Lori Linder, presented each student with a certificate.

The San Tan Valley Academic Recognition Awards focuses on recognizing the academic accomplishments of students, teachers and schools that comprise the San Tan Valley.  This year’s event took place at San Tan Foothills High School in Coolidge on Thursday, April 26th.

The Spring Chess Challenge took place April 23rd-26th.  Trophies, prizes, awards, and medals were given to those students who accepted the challenge to compete in the ancient game of chess. Mr. Canfield, Chess Club Sponsor, hosted the tournament which has become a yearly event on the middle school campus.
