Forum Aims At Women & Violence

June 20 event features AJ police chief

A public forum to discuss violence against women will be held on Wednesday, June 20 at the A.J. Christian Community Church.

The forum is free to the public and is dedicated to community safety through education and will answer your questions on how to make a difference— How to recognize sexual abuse, domestic violence and human trafficking.

The discussion will include victims rights and internet safety awareness.

Guest speakers include Apache Junction Police Chief Jerald Monahan. Natalie Ehmka will speak on Empowering Women, Joyce Vogt will address  Internet Safety, Susan Stacy will discuss HumanTrafficking, and Bill Harbeck will address Sexual Abuse.

The A.J. Christian Community Church is located at 201 N. Ironwood and the forum is scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 20. For more information, call 480-249-9940.
