Throughout the year, PCSO explores participate in team building activities, competitions and various activities with other Explorer groups from numerous law enforcement agencies around the state.
The goal is to prepare participants who’ve shown in interest in working in law enforcement with leadership skills.
This year the PCSO group recently participated in a teambuilding challenge hosted by the Mesa Police Department. The tasks were specifically designed to physically and mentally challenge participants to build alliances with friends from other posts.
Three of the PCSO Explorers rose to the occasion and took on leadership positions and were honored for their efforts. Those members were: Francisco Saucedo, Tyler Megehey and Zach Runice. One of our Explorers, Samuel Witt took overall first place honors in the jousting category.
Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, “Congratulations to the PCSO Explorers for representing our agency well this past weekend in Scottsdale, and last month in Mesa. This program is a crucial tool in recruiting and training our future heroes in public safety. I’m very proud of each of you – keep up the great work!”
