Stolen PCSO Weapons

On 05-09-12, around 4:30 a.m., an unknown person(s) broke in to an unmarked Pinal County Sheriff’s Office vehicle parked at a residential address in Casa Grande and stole the following items:

  • 1- Colt M-16A1Automatic Rifle, black in color, contained in a camouflage soft case
  • 1- Taser X-26 withone loaded cartridge
  • 1- Glock 27, compactwith night sights and  one magazine, contained in a black Fobus paddle holster

Reward for any information leading to the recovery of these weapons.

The rifle and taser are in the attached picture.

May 11, 2012 UPDATE: Received info the PCSO M-16 rifle stolen yesterday morning from a deputy's vehicle in Casa grande has been recovered.  Suspects have been arrested.  Casa Grande PD will have details on the case and suspect info.

Public Information Officer, PCSO

The Public Information Officer acts as a point of contact between the office and local, state and national media. Duties include media relations and the development of print, audio and video news items to be released to the public. The Public Information Officer advises management of community relations’ projects and activities and answer questions concerning the Sheriff’s Office from the public, media, employees and other jurisdictions.

Elias has an extensive media background and is a decorated graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where he earned his degree in broadcast journalism.  Elias has worked not only in the Phoenix media market as a reporter but also in his home state of Iowa.
