The public is cordially invited to attend a one-hour presentation on the Arizona Natural Resources Act - a citizen’s initiative for the ballot designed to sustain Arizona State Parks and protect Arizona’s resources. The proposal, supported by a group called Citizens to Save Arizona’s Natural Resources, would protect parks funding from transfers that legislators have used to help balance the state budget. Supporters are currently gathering signatures. A recent poll shows that 87 percent of the those responding wanted Arizona State Parks to be adequetely funded.
The date of the hour-long seminar is Tuesday, June 5, at 6 p.m. at Superstition Harley- Davidson, 2910 W. Apache Trail.
The group is also looking for talented and conscientious volunteer board members to create and lead projects to raise funds, increase public participation in Lost Dutchman State Park, and to help grow Friends’ membership. If you can contribute your time, thoughtfulness and leadership one evening a month, and are interested in exploring this opportunity, call (480)671- 8331 or email volunteerldsp@ gmail.com.
Closing date is Thursday, June 14.
