PCSO Sgt. Hunter Rankin, head of Pinal County Regional DUI Task Force stated, "I would like to point out the number of Designated Drivers that we have been contacting on these details.  It is evident that a large number of our motoring public is getting the message and being responsible and planning ahead.  We received information during the Maricopa Detail that all of the local bars have gotten together and make arrangements for everyone do get DD's if they choose to use them. This is similar to the information we have received from the Casa Grande Cab Companies.   They report to us that their business goes through the roof when we are in town.  They have been working with the local bars to provide rides home to their customers .  This is great information to receive, we are clearly making a difference."

"Despite another successful crackdown on impaired driving, we had two alcohol related fatal collisions over the weekend," Sheriff Paul Babeu stated.   "This just goes to show that our fight will not be over anytime soon.  With all of the funding and support provided to us by GOHS Director Alberto Gutier, we will be able to continue this fight to make our roadways safer every day."
