Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, “I have made a commitment to run a transparent and professional organization. We owe it to the citizens of Pinal County to complete thorough investigations when allegations involving misconduct are made against any of my employees. Public trust is not something that is given but rather earned through years of hard work.”

Additionally, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has identified several sworn members who will be trained as “Backup Public Information Officers” in the near future. These individuals will still continue to work their normal assigned duties but will have this added responsibility when major incidents occur and once the scenes are secured.
