Mrs. Baeza, the 2nd grade teacher for MCOB, is a MVP in the classroom. Mrs. Baeza creates an effective classroom in which her students can grow as learners and individuals.
Due to the hard work that Mrs. Baeza gives to MCOB, the students in her class are prepared to enter the 3rd grade. The percentage of students at or above the 50th percentile on the Stanford 10 assessment significantly increased last year by 10%. In addition, the percentage of students reaching benchmark for reading on the DIBELS assessment increased from the prior year.
Mrs. Baeza collaborates with others to support the school. An overwhelming majority of parents answering MCOB’s Parent Survey for last year ranked Mrs. Baeza in the highest category of Excellent. The high parent rating can be attributed to frequent communication with parents through telephone, e-mail, and conferences. Mrs. Baeza leads English Language Learner services for the school. Test administration, development of ILLP’s, and staff training are headed up by Mrs. Baeza. Mrs. Baeza has presented Structured English Immersion training for MCOB and for other teachers in Pinal County. In addition, Mrs. Baeza plans school wide events of Make a Difference Day, the Winter Program, and Social Committee.
