The Arizona Department of Education created an A – F Letter Grade System to provide clear, easy-to understand information to parents so that they could base their educational decisions on the best information available about the overall academic performance of school and district. The A – F Letter Grade System uses a combination of students’ scores on the AIMS test (50%) and the academic growth of students from one year to the next (50%). MCOB is one of five other Pinal County Schools to earn an A grade. Of those five schools, MCOB earned the highest number of points.
The A grade represents an excellent level of performance by MCOB. MCOB is a small public school located on Eleven Mile Corner Road in a rural area near Casa Grande currently serving 120 students in kindergarten – 6th grades. It is the mission of MCOB to develop and maintain a positive educational learning environment in which the full potential of the student can be realized. To this end, the combined resources of the school, staff, partners in education and parents are brought together to enable students to be successful and gain the skills necessary for life.
