Chairman Rios Advocates for Employee Pay Increase
Last week, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors adopted a tentative budget for the upcoming fiscal year that starts in July.
The tentative budget for fiscal year 2012-2013 came in at $334,515,835 or six percent lower than last year’s budget. This amount cannot be raised, but it can be lowered before we adopt the actual budget.It is time for meaningful compensation to become a reality in Pinal County
Clerk Chad A Roche takes bold stance - refutes 1% across the board bonus called for by Chairman
Clerk Chad A. Roche took a bold stance today at the Board of Supervisors meeting in Pinal County in response to a call for an across-the-board bonus for all Pinal County employees. This proposal was brought up for discussion today by Chairman Pete Rios, who is up for election this fall. The one- time one-percent incentive - if passed in the future - would be the first increase in pay for Pinal County employees in over four years.
Juror Appreciation Week in Pinal County First Week in May
The First week in May in Pinal County as been officially proclaimed by the Board of Supervisors as Juror Appreciation Week. The Clerk of the Superior Court, Chad A. Roche, ap- proached the Board to secure the proclamation that honors Jurors who answer the call to Jury Service.
“The right to a jury of one’s peers is a concept that anchors the American justice system,” Roche said. “It is a vital duty and privilege of citizenship,” he continued. The Clerk’s office plans on highlighting the im- portance of Jury Service throughout the week.
