Animal Care & Control
Animal Care and Control is the Division of the Health and Human Services Department which protects the health and welfare of Pinal County citizens by managing the county’s companion animal population, enforcing rabies prevention/intervention regulations and enforcing the provisions of the Animal Control Ordinance. We humanely house and care for stray animals, unwanted, abandoned or abused pets, and place healthy companion animals in new homes through adoption. We provide proactive and ongoing public education and information to the residents of Pinal County. Our organization adheres to professional standards in all aspects of public relations and animal management.

Cotton Candy and Rosie
Cotton Candy and Rosie are adult female cats.
They are soft, gentle, friendly and really enjoy being petted.
Cotton Candy's fur is rich tortoiseshell and Rosie's is dilute. It's fine if they are adopted by two different households, it's just that they would dearly love to be part of a family.
Lilly is sweet, petite and pleasingly plump.

Free Rabies Vaccine for Dogs When Renewing or Licensing, Cats Eligible for Vaccine Also
Friday, September 28 is National World Rabies Day and Pinal County Animal Care & Control will be open extended hours. An area vet will be on staff from noon to 7:00 PM to administer the rabies vaccine to dogs or cats.
“A lot of people don’t realize that Animal Control’s primary mission is to prevent the spread of rabies, which is deadly to animals and humans,” Dickson said. “Licensing your pet gives proof that it has a current vaccine. If there is no proof of vaccination and your dog bites someone and breaks the skin, we have to impound the animal at the owner’s expense until rabies is ruled out.”

Elton is ready to do whatever you want, whether it's going for a long walk/run or just hanging out at home.
This sweet boy would make a great pet for an active family or individual.

Sarge is a sweet, goofy, high energy approximately 1 year old male Pit Bull.
Sarge has personality plus, and seems OK around other dog (he hasn't been assessed around cats.)
Sarge would be a great pet for a family with older kids (as he can play a bit enthusiastically), or for an active individual looking for an out-of-doors companion!

Cottonball is just one super cat!
This larger-than-life gray and black tabby is the friendliest, purring-est kitty around.
Cottonball is about 2 years old, good with other cats, and happy to do whatever makes you happy-from being a big, ol' lap warmer to hanging out by your side as you go about your daily routine.
All Cottonball really wants is someone to love him, so he can love them right back!
