Each year, London's Run has selected children as beneficiaries. This year, there are three (3) very special children who have been selected as beneficiaries of this event: Aloriea Bounds, Brody Blagen and Sophie Hall.
Aloriea Bounds is a 6 year old diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. She has had to undergo a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, and will be traveling to New York for further treatment. She will not be able to attend London's Run because she will be gone, but we know she will be there in spirit!
Brody Blagen is 3 years old and was diagnosed with AML. He completed his treatment in September and is currently in remission. As anyone who has gone through this experience knows, remission is awesome, but it doesn't mean the journey is over! We are thrilled to help Brody continue on his road to full recovery.
The 3rd recipient this year is Sophie Hall, a 4 year old diagnosed with ALL in November who is currently in treatment.
In addition to the run itself, the United Blook Services will have three buses onsite with extended donation hours and walk ins. 700 blood donors are needed DAILY in Arizona to supply the hospitals United Blood Services serves... including Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Appointments available from 7:30am - 12:00pm. Half marathon runners are discouraged from donating, but we'll take anyone else! Appointments are preferred and will cut down on your wait time, so please make an appointment at by visiting the United Blood Services Website
