Facts: ENERGY STAR® qualified CFLs use up to 75 percent less energy and last up to 10 times longer than standard incandescent bulbs. Lighting accounts for about 10 percent of energy use in Valley homes, and CFLs save about $30 or more in electricity costs over each bulb’s lifetime.
