Mountain View Family Church to hold Grand Opening

by: Porfirio J Caldera

After years of planning and over a year of construction, Mountain View Family Church will hold its Grand Opening Weekend, September 22 and 23rd. starting with a new Saturday Night service, September 22nd, at 5:00 p.m.

With the expansion comes a new auditorium with seating for over 500 people, theatre style seating and crystal clear HD quality screens. More classrooms, a café and additional parking spots were also added to accommodate the growing congregation.

The current worship center was remolded as an “Adventure Land” for children from pre-k through 3rd grade.

Lead Pastor Daniel Voss is excited to be starting a new chapter at Mountain View and for what the future holds.

"Our hope is that this new building will open up more opportunities to better serve our community. We view our building as a resource to help build stronger families that become committed to God and each other." said Voss.

Join the entire church family for a special 6 week video series called Love and Respect. Wednesday Nights, beginning September 26th, at 6:30 p.m. Bring your entire family to this 6 week church wide event. Child care will be provided.

About Mountain View

Mountain View began in 2001 with 10 people under a gazebo in Johnson Ranch. Those first 10 people each had a desire to begin a relevant, Bible teaching Christian church in the community. Quickly outgrowing the gazebo, the church decided to rent at Johnson Ranch Elementary, then Walker Butte Elementary, holding regular Sunday services. After meeting in the school for 4 years the weekly attendance grew to over 200. With more space needed, it was time to sacrifice and take a huge step of faith and begin to build a permanent campus for Mountain View. Six years later, with a weekly attendance nearing 1,000, Mountain View decided it was time once again for an expansion.
