At about 1 a.m., September 24th, residents in the Johnson Ranch housing community noticed a home on fire, in the 29000 block of Desert Willow Blvd.
Both Florence Fire and Rural Metro responded to the fire. According to Rural Metro Fire, they believe that the fire started in one corner of the garage and quickly spread to the attic and part of the kitchen. The home and a vehicle in the garage quickly became engulfed in flame. The neighboring homes were in danger and were evacuated.
Thankfully, everyone made it out of the home safely. One of the adults in the home, did suffer minor burns on her face, but was not transported for her injuries.
The American Red Cross is working to provide the family with a place to stay and food, water, clothing and support.
