“We expect to appeal to people from the surrounding area who love to sing a wide variety of musical works, are looking for a community of singers and look forward to performing those works” says Jack Malpass the Founder of the Choir. “We have an accomplished Director in Patricia Crane and she is excited about beginning rehearsals for the winter season”.
The Desert Song Community Choir is a non-audition choir for singers of all levels of experience. The Choir is a unique blend of individuals from various walks of life who share a passion for singing and performing. They are especially excited to reach out to the area church choirs, high school and college students for singers and expect to perform in various locations partnering with a variety of other musical groups.
Beginning on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, the choir began to rehearse at the LifePoint Church located 28479 N Main St. in the San Tan Valley directly across from the Copper Basin K-8 School and the Copper Basin YMCA. They have an informational website at www.desertsongcommunitychoir.org.
Not sure? Just come to the rehearsal with no obligation, to try it and see if you like it.
While the winter program is still under development, it promises to be an exciting and varied selection of seasonal music that is sure to appeal to a wide audience. The cost is $40 per season to defray the cost of music. Interested singers are asked to contact Jack Malpass at 480 655-5760 or by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
