Positional Skull Deformities in Infants

While making hospital rounds in the newborn nursery over the years, mothers and fathers alike have routinely had dozens of questions pertaining to their newborn - which I might add is a very welcome gesture. A particular question comes on more frequently in my experience than others and this same question commonly comes up again around the fourth month of life. Yes, you guessed right. It has to do with cosmetic concerns and yes, it’s the shape of the head question.

The history of the community newspaper in the United States is as long as the history of the country itself. For generations, residents have depended on their local papers for news that affects their day-to-day life and brings them together as a community. San Tan Valley is now covered by such a paper as the Southeast Valley Ledger was printed for the first time last August. One of a publishing group of six newspapers covering Pinal County, the Southeast Valley Ledger reports on news and events in both San Tan Valley and Queen Creek. Published the first and third Thursday of the month, the Ledger provides local, family-friendly coverage celebrating schools, businesses and individuals making San Tan Valley the great community it is today.

“Pinal County has so much untapped potential,” Supervisor Chase said.  “I think it is incumbent that we as a Board of Supervisors find out how to best move this county forward to bring jobs so our residents can work and live in the same location.”

The “Banner Children’s Healthmobile” is a licensed outpatient treatment center that will operate just like a mobile doctor’s office, offering children up to 21 years of age treatment for health problems, physicals for camp or sports, and routine annual check-ups.

Arizona continues to see an increase in flu activity.  As of the final week in 2012, the state had 790 cases for the season and 190 of those were new cases confirmed through laboratory testing.  Pinal and 13 other counties were reporting increased flu activity.

Flu shots through the Pinal County Public Health are just $15, a bargain compared to the cost of cold and flu medicines or trips to the doctor's office and missed work.  Flu shots are easier to find than ever before with major drug stores and grocery stores offering the shots.  Some of these locations are able to submit claims for insurance reimbursement.
