There should not be any politics involved in the Sheriffs office, it should be strictly none partisan. Fortunately the voters in Pinal County will have that choice if enough signatures can be gathered to get Ty Morgan on the November election ballot as an Independent candidate. It takes less than 300 signatures for a Republican or Democrat to be placed on the ballot however, it takes an Independent close to 2000 to gain access. Ty Morgan is the most qualified of all those seeking the position of Sheriff for Pinal County, with 30 years of experience as a law enforcement officer. Not only is he the most qualified, he is an Independent. Currently we lack a few hundred signatures to get him on the ballot before the deadline of May 30. I am writing this on behalf of Ty Morgan, he and I will be in the parking area of Silly Mountain trail head (US highway 60 west of Gold Canyon) at 6.00 am Sunday May 13th to meet and greet those that will support him in this endeavor.
