During the time that Maxine served as the Executive Director of Central Arizona Association of Governments she provided outstanding leadership and support to her staff as well as to CAAG’s member entities. She was very responsive to the needs of the communities and realized many years ago the importance of planning for growth in our rural region.
When approached to establish a planning department to meet the needs of a growing Pinal County, she put together an action plan and met the request to have the department up and running within one year of the request. That department has provided an excellent service to the communities in Pinal County and continues to provide much needed services and information.
Maxine also has a strong background in job training and knows firsthand the importance of a strong and well trained workforce when discussing economic development opportunities for the local area. During her time as CAAG’s Executive Director literally millions of dollars were spent locally to train low income individuals in high demand occupations.
Maxine is a forward thinking individual who has the working knowledge and history specific to this region that will provide the leadership that Pinal County will need in the coming years.
