In campaign literature, White said, a constable is “Bearer of Bad News.” They attend the courts of the Justices of the Peace within their precincts when required, and within their counties execute, serve and return all processes and notices directed or delivered to them by a Justice of the Peace of the county or by competent authority.
“Although a constable’s main duty is to enforce and serve court documents, the most important asset and skill required by a constable is the power of communication,” he wrote.
“He/she must be able to reason, understand, show compassion and show respect to the person or persons being served. Strong communications skills will help ensure the courts’ directives are executed flawlessly, lawfully, respectfully and compassionately.”
With more than 20 years management experience, White also has worked in radio broadcasting, having been on the air for five Phoenix-area radio stations. He donates his time as a consultant and engineer for a Scottsdale based FM station.
