Town of Queen Creek offers free Christmas tree recycling drop off

by: Town of Queen Creek

The Town of Queen Creek is offering two opportunities for residents to recycle their live Christmas trees at a drop-off location on Crewse Lane, just south of the Municipal Services Building, 22358 S. Ellsworth Road.

The Christmas tree recycling drop-off will be available from 8 a.m.-noon on Jan. 8 and 14. All trees must be free of decorations and tinsel. Trees collected during this event will be taken to a green waste recycling facility.

The Jan. 14 event will also incorporate an electronics recycling event, inviting residents to recycle their computers, printers, TVs, refrigerators, freezers and more. The electronics recycling is sponsored by Right Away Disposal and CMS/Morrell.

Residents may also use their regular curbside scheduled bulk collection to dispose of the trees. Trees collected through curbside bulk collection will be taken to the landfill. Trees left for curbside bulk collection must be cut into 4-foot lengths and bundled. The bulk collection must be scheduled no later than the Monday prior to the designated Wednesday bulk collection day.

Please call 480-358-3450, option 7 to schedule a bulk collection or for more details on the Christmas tree recycling. To keep up-to-date on Town events and happenings, join the Town's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/queencreek.
