SRP Offers 50% Off Air-Conditioner Checkup

Winter Is the Perfect Time to Prepare for Summer Heat

What: Just like a car, an air conditioner needs a regular tuneup to run properly. Customers can ensure their AC will be in tiptop shape with a 16 point checkup for only $29.95 per working unit. (Any repairs performed by the certified contractor will result in additional costs.)

Why: An air conditioner is the leading energy user in a home, and it’s essential to make sure it is operating at top efficiency for comfort and savings.

Without regular maintenance, an air conditioner loses about 5 percent of its original efficiency each year of operation. For example, a 12 SEER unit purchased a few years ago may be functioning as well as a 9 SEER unit if it is not properly maintained. Studies show that with regular tuneups, an AC unit will maintain up to 95 percent of its original efficiency.

When: The offer runs through April 30.
