Westbound I-10 closed this afternoon south of Picacho due to DPS investigation

Motorists are being detoured 6 miles to next available on-ramp

Westbound I-10 at Red Rock Road (exit 226) near Picacho will be closed today, Jan 23rd, starting at 1 p.m. for an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred over the weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The closure is expected to last two hours.

Motorists will be detoured at Red Rock Road (exit 226) to the frontage road and will be able to access the highway again at the Picacho Peak Road traffic interchange.
