State Route 24 construction requires ramp restrictions on Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in Mesa this weekend (Oct. 5-6)

Northbound Hawes Road also closed

Construction activities related to the State Route 24 project will require overnight ramp restrictions and a closure of Northbound Hawes Road near the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in Mesa this weekend. Drivers should be aware of the following restrictions:

  • Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) Hawes Road off-ramp closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 6) for crane relocation. DETOUR: Exit at Elliot or Power roads.
  • Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) Elliot Road on-ramp closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 6) for overhead sign work. DETOUR: Use Power Road to access Loop 202.
  • Northbound Hawes Road closed between Ray Road and Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 6) for drill placement and drilling operations. DETOUR: Use Ray Road to Power or Ellsworth roads.
