Local San Tan Valley Girl Hoping to Represent Diamondbacks at the All-Star Game
It's been a long road, but 10 year old, San Tan Valley resident Emily Saults is hoping that her determination will take her all the way to Chase Field where she will have the honor of representing the Diamondbacks at the All-Star Game.
Emily started playing baseball when she was 4 years old and enjoyed playing with her brother, Nick, who is now 14. At the age of 8, she transitioned over to softball and currently plays for the Queen Creek Heat. Although Emily's favorite position is catcher, she also plays pitcher, shortstop and third baseman.
