QC Community Theatre to present Pride and Prejudice

First published in 1813, Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice still cap­tivates modern readers. From April 20-23, the Queen Creek Community Theatre will present Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center at 22149 E. Ocotillo Road in Queen Creek.

In this clever stage adaptation, witty and independent Elizabeth Bennet is not easily impressed by the fortune and handsome features of the reserved and arrogant Mr. Darcy. Amidst a society focused primarily on making a good match, can Elizabeth and Darcy wade through misunderstanding, de­ceit and folly, as well as learn to look past his pride and her prejudice, to make the best match of all?
