Their informal one-hour outdoor workshop is included with admission of $9, so no pre-registration is required.

During this outdoor class Groen and Lewis share their proven techniques to safely pick, de-spine, juice, process and preserve cactus fruits.
Their popular workshop lasts about an hour, ending with a chance to sample prickly pear snacks. Last year’s menu included nopalito soup, salsa and prickly-pear-banana-yogurt-pineapple smoothies.
