On December 12, 2016 at approximately 8:15 am PCSO dispatch received a call stating a reckless driver, driven by a male approximately 20 years old had just driven over curbs and the grass near a tennis court located at the intersection of Hunt Highway and Golf Club Drive in San Tan Valley. A deputy arrived on scene, but was unable to locate the vehicle.
At approximately 8:30am we received an additional call from an individual stating they were behind a black ‘Chevy” car with a flat tire driving erratically down Hunt Highway when they observed the vehicle hit several construction barricades and also drive into the lane of oncoming traffic. The reporting party stated the vehicle pulled into the Big O Tires parking lot. Our deputy arrived on scene to find 20 year old Matthew Boron attempting to have his tire repaired and while questioning Matthew he was observed to have signs of impairment and admitted to hitting a curb and barricades due to his vehicle not having power steering and denied any involvement with the prior call of driving over landscaping.
Sheriff Babeu stated “Upon further inspection of Matthews’s vehicle it was found to have landscaping debris throughout the engine compartment and the wheel of the flat tire. Upon further questioning, Matthew admitted to running over the landscaping, curbs and barricades. While emptying his pockets a white powdery substance in a clear baggie and a pill was found. This was later identified as Cocaine and Alprazolam.”
Matthew was booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence for False Reporting to Law Enforcement, Possession of Prescription Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
