Combs High School Trap & Skeet Team, the 'Combs Clay Crushers,' Crowned State Champions

Combs High School is in a celebratory mood and for a good reason! Our very own Trap & Skeet team, the Combs Clay Crushers, has just clinched the State Championship title in a stunning display of skill and teamwork. The triumphant announcement was made at the recent Governing Board meeting, where the team was honored with custom belt buckles, an emblem of their hard-earned victory.

The championship didn't just see the team win overall but also saw many of our talented shooters bag individual accolades. The standout performance came from Walker Hargis, who, with an impressive score of 99 out of 100, was declared the Overall State Champion. Talk about having an eye for the target!

But the accolades didn't stop there. Two more of our brilliant shooters, Christopher Reese, and Hayden DeCarlo, notched up the second and third spots, respectively. Our female shooters didn't hold back either. The top three female shooter spots were swept up by our very own Jade Green, Hailey Linnastruth, and Maddison McNamara.

The success of the Combs Clay Crushers underscores the exceptional talent our students possess and the tireless dedication of their coaches. It's no small feat to emerge victorious in a state championship. The countless hours of training, the practice sessions, and the never-give-up attitude have indeed paid off.
