Hundreds of San Tan Valley residents packed into room A-101 at Central Arizona College's San Tan Valley Campus Thursday night to hear from Johnson Utilities' Interim Manager, Epcor.
This Wednesday, October 17 from 6pm-8pm, the public is invited to attend a community meeting regarding a proposed rezoning case that is to be heard at the Board of Supervisors November 7th. This case involves rezoning a property on the south side of Hunt Highway between San Tan Flats and Trica Rd.
It’s been 48 days since EPCOR assumed management and operations of Johnson Utilities, and the team has moved quickly to come up to speed and to address immediate priorities, focusing on water quality and pressure, preventing sewer overflows, and customer service and billing accuracy.

While Epcor has officially stepped in and taken over management of Johnson Utilities, Commission Staff is continuing to evaluate revoking Johnson's CC&N.

The Walker Butte Leadership School K-8 AVID Elective class has kicked off their first Service Project of the year. Students have chosen to create chemo-care packages to donate to the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center to help cancer patients feel more comfortable as they undergo chemotherapy and they are reaching out to the community for assistance in collecting items for the care packages.
