Mammoth corruption needs to be investigated!

Mammoth corruption needs to be investigated!

In my opinion a special interest group within The Mammoth Town Council is attempting to thwart the law with a “Special Town Meeting” on Thursday April, 26, 2012 before the Runoff Election on May 15th.

  • In the brief span between Mammoth’s General election in March and a Runoff Election on May 15th a special interest group within the Town Council is attempting to restructure the form of government and it appears to be to their personal advantage before the runoff election
  • It has been relayed to me that there may have been violations to the voting laws by “assisting” elderly residents, many Hispanic that struggle with the technicalities, to help fill in their absentee ballots without verifying as assistants on the ballots to attempt to swing the absentee vote to ensure their selection in the Runoff Election
  • The Mayor and Vice-Mayor placed the Interim Town Manager on Administrative Leave without a vote of the council, thereby thwarting a formal vote of the Council as mandated by law and policy. Implications are an attempt to place an individual positive to their intentions into that position that was already terminated for mismanagement of town funds. This will result in the town paying two personnel at this position, as well as a pending lawsuit over the wrongful act, in order to get their chosen individual back into the Town Manager position
  • An “investigator” of convenience, that is party to the special interest group, was selected at the meeting of April 26, 2012 to “investigate” the Mayor and Vice-Mayor’s handling of the decision to remove the Town Manager even though the individual has no credentials or background to conduct an investigation that relates to administrative and labor law
  • They are attempting to rewrite the policy on mandatory personnel reviews for the Town Clerk/Directors/all personnel
  • This special interest group of the town council and mayor refused to allow me to address a comment to an irate citizen as is allowed under ARS . They continuously shouted me down and threatened to have me arrested for misconduct rather than follow the state law. I was forced to leave the meeting to avoid being wrongly arrested
  • Comments made at the April 22, 2012 town council meeting were deliberately taunting to the remaining councilman not part of the special interest group that objected to many of the amendments and proposals on the agenda. This was recorded by a newspaper reporter with the San Manuel Miner by video
