Pinal Partnership Announces New Executive Director

At their June 25th, 2021 monthly event featuring a panel discussion, the Pinal Partnership Board of Directors announced Rina Rien will be their next Executive Director succeeding Melissa Johnson in that position. Rina Rien is joining the Partnership's President, Anthony Smith, in marketing the county and its communities, and growing the organization.

Pinal Partnership was formed in 2005 as a non-profit with a mission to improve research, planning and coordination of private and public efforts related to infrastructure, natural resources and community development in Pinal County.

Reflecting on the new appointment, Rina Rien said, "Pinal County is on the cusp of amazing economic growth and demographic change as we become a destination for new technologies and manufacturing within Arizona. Pinal Partnership's leadership has played a major role in recent economic development wins and has a strategic vision for the future. I've been a Pinal Partnership member for years and look forward to working with the Board of Directors and our business leadership to promote all the opportunities and quality of life Pinal County has to offer."

Anthony Smith, President of Pinal Partnership said, "Rina has a firm knowledge of Pinal County and has the skills and experience to do the job. According to several of our Executive Board members, she is the one candidate that stood out from all the others."
