A Neighborhood Meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, February 28th, to address another rezoning request to be made to the Pinal County Planning and Development Department.
Hancock Communities will be requesting that the County rezone 11.71 acres of vacant land located east of the northeast corner of Gantzel and Combs Road (east of Auto Zone) from its current General Business zoning (CB-2) to Multiple Residence zoning. This zoning request will allow Hancock Communities to build 132 "single-story attached/detached single family rental units".
While Hancock claims that the properties they build "create intimate courtyards and gathering places to support neighbor interaction", residents in the neighboring subdivisions are not excited about another multi-family apartment complex being proposed in that location.
Anyone interested in learning more about the project is encouraged to attend.
The Neighborhood Meeting will be held in the multipurpose room of the Combs Traditional Academy School located at 37327 N Gantzel Road, Thursday, February 28th. The meeting will start at 6pm.
Let us know what you think. Do you think the Board of Supervisors should approve the rezoning? Does San Tan Valley need more businesses or apartments?
