Hard Freeze Warning
A hard freeze warning is in effect from midnight January 1, 2022 through Sunday at 9am, January 2, 2022 for the San Tan Valley area.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s for all of northwest Pinal County, including San Tan Valley, AZ.
Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that havein-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
For pets that can be brought inside, please do and for others please be sure they have adequate shelter.
