AVOID Gantzel Rd southbound south of Empire Rd for the next several hours due to traffic incident. Some roads closed.
Beginning Thursday, March 22nd development related utility work will cause a closure on San Tan Heights Boulevard north of Mountain Vista Boulevard.
Drivers in San Tan Valley have another route to take going north and south in the area.
While the Gantzel Road extension to Hunt Hwy is now open, Johnson Ranch Boulevard remains closed at Hunt Highway for crews to work at the Hunt Highway/Johnson Ranch intersection to construct concrete curbing, install box culverts as part of the drainage improvements, and prepare the grade and subsurface as part of the transition for the new Gantzel Road Extension at the intersection.
The Town of Queen Creek is shifting lanes for Empire Rd eastbound and westbound at the Ellsworth road intersection.
Over the weekend, on March 10th and 11th, SRP will be working on the electric system in the area of Gantzel Road and the Professional Village south of Combs Road.
Contractor crews continue work on remaining elements of the retention basin, channel and access road north of Magma Road on the west side of Hunt Highway. This work is primarily taking place off the roadway; however, there are traffic barricades set up at the shoulder to protect the work zone.
